A-Imam Al-Sammak has over thirty years of university teaching experience, where he taught analog and digital communications, electric circuits, and electronics. He has published more than 40 Journal and conference papers and holds three patents specializing in electronics for digital communications.

Dr Al-Sammak acted as a reviewer for international conferences and journals (including IET Wireless sensor systems, IET Electronics Letters, IET communications and IEEE PACRIM conference). He has been a visiting scientist at University of Victoria, Canada and Purdue University, USA.  He holds M.Sc. in Digital Communications Kent, UK, and a Ph.D. in Communications (Manchester, U.K). Dr. Al-Sammak is a charted engineer and member of IET (UK).

The philosophy adopted in this book focusses on students’ understanding of the underlying principles and logic behind the subject or a topic in a simple and clear approach. By mastering the fundamental concept(s), students will develop the confidence that will allow them to apply their knowledge to any new problem or situation.
